The sudoku solver can also be used as a  a helper by revealing a single square's value, or give a hint if you are wanting to solve the puzzle by yourself but are just a little stuck at a certain spot in the game.
 

If the sudoku solver fails to solve the entire puzzle it will show you a partially completed grid with possible choices for each square that it didn't solve, making it possible for you to try other means to complete the sudoku.
